Our group prides itself on its committment to engage with and involve as many sections of the COMMUNITY as possible from Schools, Churches, Youth groups, Companies,Community Organisations and individuals

The Payback Team from the Probation service have had a large involvement in the development of GIB schemes. They cleared an area at Marshall street, carried out preliminary work at the Jubilee Garden painted the tubs on Main street and dug the Fire Station bed.

Time Capsule

As part of Garforth in Bloom's Official Opening of the Diamond Jubilee Garden on Aberford Road we buried a small time capsule containing as many items as possible to reflect life in Garforth in 2012.

An appeal was made to community groups,companies and members of the community to contibute to the capsule

Each year we encourage pubs and clubs to provide floral dispalys and generally keep tidy the area around their premises

Friends of Garforth in Bloom
Members of the community are encouraged to support our group through a contribution of £5 per year.In return they receive regular news letters. This has been a very successfull scheme which now boasts 90 members
